Canterbury Service

The Canterbury service provides a full range of alcohol and substance misuse interventions for adult service users living in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay areas of Kent. Services offered include prescribed medication, health checks, blood-borne virus testing, Naloxone dispensing and needle exchange.

From 27th July 2018, the service will be delivered from a range of satellite Hubs in Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay. From this date, drop in services will be run from the following locations. Anyone can come and see us at the following sites, even if they are not a current client. Our telephone number will also be open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (see below for details). 

Canterbury Umbrella Centre on Wednesday afternoons: 1pm - 4pm. St Peter’s Place, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2DB
Hersden Community Centre: on Wednesday afternoons: 4pm - 6pm. The Avenue, Hersden, Canterbury, Kent CT3 4HL
Catching Lives Canterbury on Thursday mornings: 9am - 12pm. Station Road East, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2RB
University of Kent on Thursday afternoons: 1pm - 4m (term time only). Canterbury, Kent CT2 7NZ
St Anne’s Surgery on Thursday early evenings: 5pm - 7pm. 161 Station Road, Herne Bay, Kent CT6 5NF
